Huron’s own Dakota Provisions made one of the biggest corporate donations to the building campaign fund for the Nordby Exhibit Hall for 4-H, Youth and Community. It was announced Sunday at the Freedom Stage that the company donated $150,000 toward the new building. Pictured presenting and accepting the check are, from the left, 4-H member Katie Schoenfelder, the campaign’s chairman Rodney Freeman, President and CEO of Dakota Provisions Ken Rutledge, S.D. Fair commissioner Scott Cordts and Fairgrounds Manager Jerome Hertel. Announcing the presentation was Peter Nielson 4-H Youth Development Program Director.
